Colorado's 16 AAAs serve different geographic areas - metro Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Grand Junction, and rural regions each have their own AAA with different program availability. Urban Front Range AAAs (Denver, Boulder, Jefferson) have comprehensive service networks; rural mountain and eastern plains AAAs may have more limited options.   • SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program): free, unbiased Medicare counseling through AAAs statewide - help with plan selection, billing disputes, and appeals; contact your AAA or call (888) 696-7213.
  • Property tax exemption for seniors 65+: 50% exemption on first $200,000 of actual value for qualifying homeowners with 10+ consecutive years of ownership - apply at County Assessor by July 15.
  • Property Tax Work-Off Program: some Colorado counties allow seniors to work for their local government in exchange for property tax credits - contact your county for availability.
