Missouri has 114 counties plus the City of St. Louis, which operates its own criminal justice and detention system (separate from St. Louis County). County Sheriffs each operate their own jails. Online access varies - Jackson County (KC), Greene County (Springfield), and St. Charles County have good online systems. Many rural Missouri counties have limited online access requiring direct phone calls. NOTE: St. Louis City is NOT part of St. Louis County - be sure to check the correct jurisdiction when searching.
