How to do it
Confirm eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen, Oklahoma resident, at least 18 years old on or before Election Day (17.5+ may pre-register), NOT currently incarcerated on probation or parole for a felony conviction (must have fully served entire sentence including probation and parole - see State Notes), and not been judged an incapacitated person prohibited from voting
Choose your registration method:
ONLINE (OK Voter Portal): oklahomacounty.org, tulsa.ok.gov, or Oklahoma State Election Board online portal - requires current and valid Oklahoma driver's license or state ID issued by the Department of Public Safety; online pre-registration available at OK Voter Portal (print, sign, and mail application to complete registration)
BY MAIL: Download Oklahoma voter registration form from oklahoma.gov/elections; complete, sign, mail to your County Election Board; must be POSTMARKED by 25th day before election
IN PERSON: County Election Board office; Oklahoma DPS (tag agencies - motor voter); Oklahoma libraries; many state and county agencies; in-person deadline: received by 5 PM on the third Monday preceding Election Day (approximately 25 days before)
NOTE: Oklahoma does NOT offer same-day voter registration

Oklahoma County (OKC), Tulsa County, Cleveland County, Canadian County, and Comanche County have the most resources. Early voting locations are typically at county election board offices. NO SAME-DAY REGISTRATION - 25-day advance deadline.
FELONY VOTING RIGHTS (IMPORTANT - STRICT): Oklahoma requires completion of the ENTIRE SENTENCE including incarceration, parole, supervision, AND probation before voting rights are restored; you cannot vote on probation OR parole; rights automatically restored upon completing the full sentence (no application needed). Oklahoma is among the most restrictive states on felony voting rights.
Exception: conviction commutation reduced to time served (no remaining active sentence); pardon (with no other active felony sentence).
ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUIRES NOTARIZATION: Oklahoma absentee ballots must be notarized (voter signs in front of notary) OR witnessed by two registered voters; check current requirements as rules may have evolved.
PARTY REGISTRATION: Oklahoma has strict closed primaries; must be registered with a party to vote in that party's primary (independent/no-party voters are limited in primary participation).
Pre-registration available at 17.5 years old.
Photo ID required to vote in Oklahoma.
Polls open 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM on Election Day.
